Where Is This? – Park at Southside
Sometimes a bit of shade comes in handy. This arbor and pocket park is located at the intersection of Murray and McAdoo Streets in Downtown’s Southside Neighborhood. Blending existing, older homes with new construction, this neighborhood was revitalized following new urbanist principles and is a thriving enclave with residential and commercial uses within an easily walkable setting. The City of Greensboro led the redevelopment project and the neighborhood has received awards from the America Planning Association, the Environmental Protection Agency and the Sierra Club.
