Elsewhere is a living museum, studio, and school set within a former thrift store. We create new futures from old things through creative projects, education initiatives, and public works with global artists that enliven and inspire downtown Greensboro and the world. Elsewhere’s visiting artist program invites over 40 creatives across disciplines every year to create site-specific projects that respond to an emerging community and a 58-year collection of surplus and thrift. Elsewhere presents a changing, interactive environment of artworks, objects, and events.
