Gate City Yarns

Gate City Yarn support knitters and crocheters with a wide range of commercial spun yarns from most major companies including Rowan, Nausua, Swedish Yarns, Cascade, Brown Sheep, Berroco, Crystal Palace, and Plymouth. We also carry yarns from smaller companies such as Pagewood Farms, Be Sweet, Conjoined Creations, and Punta Yarns. We also carry hand painted sock yarns from several dyers. We support hand spinners with an extensive selection of fiber both from local sources and from major supply houses. We have a large selection in-house dyed fiber sold under the name of Spinners Ridge. We have spindles and spinning wheels from Schacht, Ashford, Louet, and Majacraft. We also carry fiber preparation tools from these manufacturers as well as Strauch Fiber Equipment. We support felters with a growing book supply. We carry needle felting tools, and package fiber in small lots that make it easier for the felting client. We support weavers with a selection of rug warps and access to a variety of weaving yarns. We maintain a selection of shuttles and weaving tools. We provide looms from such companies as Schacht, Ashford, and Louet. We support creativity and community.
